The Bait Pond is located near the fishery's reception, café and tackle shop building. The pond extends to 1/2 an acre, and is continually stocked with 300 trout from 3/4lb - 1 1/2lb. These tend to be easily caught, which is particularly encouraging to all youngsters.
It's location next to the main loch gives the children a sense of being part of the big picture as they can see the action on the main loch in between catching fish!
The Bait Pond has a no-return policy, and all fish caught are to be purchased @ £2 per lb.
To help youngsters gain confidence in their fishing ability we allow any methods to be used in this pond.
