Welcome to Loch Insch Trout Fishery Limited

The fishery opened in May 1994 with just the one loch and since then many changes and additions have been made, earning it the reputation as one of the premier still water fisheries in Scotland.
The 4 lochs and bait pond combined provide a total of 14 acres of water for bank fly fishing for both able bodied and disabled anglers. The lochs are fortunate in that they are fed by the beautiful clear water "borrowed" from the Kelloch Burn, sourced from springs rising on the Foudland Hill.

Our aim is to provide the highest quality stillwater trout fishing in the relaxed and friendly atmosphere that has become the trademark of the family run Loch Insch Fishery.

All lochs are similarly stocked with selected rainbow trout, the minimum size of which is 2lbs for the medium sized fish, with the top fish being in the 8lbs - 20lbs range.
The quality of water, along with the selection of fully finned fish, have combined to build the fisheries reputation for exceptionally fine fighting fish. Stocking takes place three times a week.
